Our friends invited us a to join them for a vacation in San Diego back in May. It was such a fun trip and so nice to stay right on the beach for the week. Some highlights of the trip were a day trip to Mexico, beach time with friends, a visit to the zoo, and really really good strawberries from the farmers market.

For some time after this trip, M referred to our friends as "the cousins" which is a real compliment from him:

J was pretty pleased about spending time at the beach. After we set up our blanket she ran around in circles exclaiming "whee!"

Our routine became playing in the ocean, outside showers, swimming pool, hot tub, followed by a bath. Lots of water going on.
