In preparation for our backpacking trip to Machu Pichu in Peru, we arranged to do a little hike without the kids. In retrospect, Squaw Peak was a great practice hike because of the quick steep incline. It was also nice to conquer that picturesque peak that we were accustomed to seeing regularly right out our front window when we lived in Provo.
It was a 360 degree view with the mountains to the east and utah valley to the west. I often forget we live by this big lake until I'm up a bit and get a peek at it.
