After M's firetruck themed birthday party he was finally ready to visit the fire station and meet some real firemen and look closely at a big firetruck. I set up an appointment and we invited some people in the neighborhood to join us. When we arrived at the fire station in our neighborhood they were out on a call, busy doing their job, so we went to visit another near by station. M asked to see one of their tools and asked how tall the ladder could reach. It was a fun visit and will hopefully inspire some other future outings in the community.
