We stopped for some pictures on our way from the kenai peninsula to Anchorage before we departed home. They nicely captured the gorgeous mountains, abundant lakes, and quintessential fireweed.
Our final adventure was a tram ride to the top of Alyeska and a meal at the The Bake Shop as recommended by some of my Alaskan ski friends. We loved the view of the ocean. M wanted to know when we were going skiing.
J was obsessed with these bear cards from the gift shop and we decided to purchase one for her. I love the shot of her below studying the bear. A few different time on the trip if she spotted bears (pictures, statues, etc) she would bark like she does when she spots a dog. I laughed and thought to myself "that is not a dog, and you do NOT want to pet one."
