November 11
First substantial snow of the year fell and we were blanketed on the east bench with over 20 inches. J's new snowsuit came in quite handy! The kids enjoyed sledding with Mom and Dad in the back yard. The most exciting moment came when M and J took a parent-less tandem ride - the end result was J laying face first in a pile of powder. Mikaela literally jumped from the top of the hill in one great bound to get to her snow covered baby. It was like a tiger pouncing on it's prey. J came up with snow covering her entire face, yet true to her ever-pleasant nature she did not let out even a single cry. I think she may have even had a smile on her face! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so enjoy the following 8,000 word treatise on our snow day fun.

a) Those picture are adorable. No way you could capture the cuteness of the dual-sledding in 8000 words.
b) Kids playing in the snow is awesome.
