Football!

Football is here and we couldn't be more excited about it!

M throwing the U at his first game in Rice Eccles stadium. During much of the first half M kept saying "I don't want to go in there" (pointing to the field). He was a bit restless through out the half. By the time the second half came around M had officially been hooked to college football. In addition to learning to throw up a U, M learned the shout "Go Utes!" with a fist pump at the end of the fight song.

The best moment of the night came on a third down in the second half. Mikaela was holding M and he said "Can you put me down now Mama?" When Mikaela set him down he commenced to stomp on the bleachers - mimicking the fans around us. It almost brought a tear to his father's eye.

M with Mama @ his first Ute home game. FYI, his first college football game ever was Utah @ Notre Dame in 2010. Note the rail behind us - we are on, literally the very last row (63) in the stadium! At least we are there to enjoy the games.

J at her first game ever. Utah @ Utah State. Unfortunately J did not put on that adorable red good luck sweater until the second half. Her donning of the good luck sweater improved the Ute team's play, but it was not enough to overcome a poor (sweaterless) first half :(
