I'm finally posting pictures from our trip to Ireland (part 1). It was beautiful!
We arrived in Dublin early Saturday morning and Erik got to practice driving on the left hand side of the road before we picked up
Emily and Jake. We started out driving south of Dublin to the Wicklow Mountains where we hiked around Glendalough (a medieval monastic site.)

We went on a sweet hike and then headed to Red Cross where we camped for the night. We got dinner at the local pub, Mickey Finn's, and then headed to bed exhausted.

The next day we attempted to go to church in Bray; however, after being led to the Jehovah witness church and several others we admitted defeat and headed to
Powerscourt Gardens instead. By far the coolest collection of gardens I have ever seen. Absolutely beautiful.

That night we checked into this cute little Irish B & B below. We went for another hike in Glendalough the folowing morning and then got breakfast at the family restaurant. We headed back towards Dublin where we attempted to see Newgrange but sadly it was closed. It was a scenic drive through the country nonetheless. We got dinner at an American Restaurant called Eddie Rockets where we had some delicious food and shakes. We spent that night at a hotel since we had a fairly early flight to the Czech Republic in the morning.

Ireland part 2 to come...
