I love getting a good deal, so our trip to NYC ended up working out perfectly. We got some super cheap tickets on megabus AND great tickets front row and center for Wicked!
This was my second Broadway show- last time we went down we put into the lottery for both Wicked and Hairspray and drew out for Hairspray. Much better chances for Hairspray considering there were about 50 people rather than the 500 people standing outside of the Gershwin Theater for Wicked. It was really fun and a great show. For anyone who has not tried the lottery and wants to see a show, I highly recommend it. Read here.
The suspense for the lottery this time was killing me! I kept praying every time they called out a name that it would be one of ours. They called out all the names and sadly we hadn't been called. Then they have everyone wait around to make sure that people have their ID's, cash, etc. A wife and husband both drew out so they ended up calling another name.. still not us though! And then for some unknown reason they called out one more and it was Erik! Man we are lucky! Makes me happy just writing about it!
Other highlights of our trip included seeing my college friends Lindsey and Selena, trying some delicious Pinkberry frozen yogurt, walking around Cenral Park and eating food at Indian Alley.
