We had planted some early crops like lettuce, beets and peas at the house we were renting in Orem. Fortunately for us, the new renters didn't like vegetable so we got to enjoy the harvest of our golden beets which did quite well:
Berries are always more fun to eat off of your fingers:
It's always great to see high school friends that are in town:

Our zinnias were planted late so this was our first bloom in August. I love these flowers:
Erik's family had the Paulsen family reunion and M was a brave little guy to do the ropes course. No pictures necessary but it should be noted that J woke up sick in our cabin in the middle of the night and proceeded to vomit all over Erik's face. It was kind of a disaster but he held it together quite well. His brother Keith and Cheree couldn't stop laughing. The 3 of us will always have that image in our minds.
J looking quite grown up:
Being silly:
Poor guy missed the first day of school as he got sick the night before and was vomiting a few days following J's episode. He was so sad but had a quick recovery and got to go to his first day of kindergarten on the 2nd day of school instead:
