Angie & Chris are the lovely couple on the left from England and Robyn & Darren are the witty ones from Australia on the right. They were such a fun group to hike with. We had a great time explaining what smores were and hearing everyone's different phrases and word choices. One of the most memorable was when someone was hiking by quickly and Robyn said they're really "hooning it." I had to ask her what that meant- basically that they're "booking it" as one might say here. Also, someone called our headlamps, "torches" one night, and we had a good laugh about that as well. I pointed out that "torches are for pillaging!"

We saw some avocado trees and then began a a section of the trek that was a bit more jungle like. We were lucky to have nice weather for the duration of the trek which I was so grateful for:

We hiked over the biggest pass this day to the highest peak of the trek at almost 14000 ft with snow that was visible not that far off:
