We woke up early Friday to go check out the hot air balloons for the freedom festival but unfortunately lightning kept them from launching. J was happy to be running around though. By some miracle of miracles we all got an afternoon nap which was a real holiday treat. We had dinner with friends and watched the fireworks from atop the hill at Rock Canyon Park. M wasn't terrified of the fireworks like he was last year -I think distance and age helped us out on that front. J loved to point to the fireworks and fell asleep before the night was through.
